Motherwort, or Leonurus cardiaca, is also known as lion's ear, lion's tail, or throwwort.Native to Central Asia, Motherwort is a mint with dull green, hairy leaves and an intensely bitter taste.
The botanical name, Leonurus Cardiaca comes from the greek. Leon=lion, ouros=tail and kardiaca refers to the heart.
