Bird Chile, or Capsicum frutescens, is known as Thai Pepper, African Pepper, Hot Pepper, Thai Chile, Bird pepper, Chili Pepper, Chiles, Chilies, and Chillies.

Chiles, the fruit of plants from the genus Capsicum, are members of the nightshade family, Solanaceae.

These dried chiles register at 100,000 H.U., which is very hot (quite a bit hotter than cayenne and jalapeno). When handling hot peppers, wear gloves, and avoid touching your eyes or any mucous membranes (Ouch!). If you do burn yourself, rinse with super hot water, and then coat with sour cream or yogurt (personal experience).
